Nokia banks on GPS, to introduce the feature in 50% of its phones
Nokia seems to be continuously on the lookout for new revenue streams as it aims to introduce GPS services in almost half of its phones within the next two years.


Lockheed Wins GPS Satellite Contract
The Bethesda company beat out rival Boeing for a contract to develop and build two satellites, with an option for 10 more, the first batch of a constellation called the Global Positioning System III.

TomTom-Tele Atlas Deal Receives EU Approval
The Commission said its investigation focused on the merged company's ability and incentive to increase the costs of other PND manufacturers for digital maps.
